The parts laid out, in order of building steps. The DIY kit had arrived! I would learn how to print my own ideas and others too. I can’t wait.
Here I go, into the world of 3D Printing and such fun I’ve discovered. I took about 8 hours to build the Anycubic i3 Prusa kit from scratch. But it was worth it! You get to figure out how the machine functions and works. So in the future, if you need to modify or repair it you know where to start from. If you wish to buy the ultimate 3D printer machine these are from prusa3d.com.

My first print was the owls. The owls are regards as the test. They are provided with the printer on the SD card in GCode. GCode is the instruction language for printing 3D models. They turned out a treat as you can see below in the image. I was suitably impressed with the quality of the machine.

Once my demo print worked out fine, I went on to print some models from Thingiunverse
Designing my own model
I decided to design my own! using Tinkercad to create a battery holder for my Fujifilm GFX50s camera. This is the wonder of 3D printing, that you can think of an idea, jot it down and then measure it up, then get to do it. As you can see below my efforts were not in vain for my first attempt. Something I need, something I imagined became reality! Now that something is it?

My own design can be found on Thingiunverse
There are many materials and colors to choose from, PLA, ABS, flexible, etc. Even high-temperature material such as: Formfutura Volcano PLA.
